Well I graduate tomorrow and I just wanted to give my final words on what this year has meant to me!
In all my years of school I have to say grade 8 has been my favourite, I have learned so much through the blogging and the E-Learning and I hope I can keep doing this throughout my future!
I think the thing I will miss the most out of this school is my best friend Destiny, and I think it is because we will be separated by high-school so I won’t get to see her as much! She has taught me some of the most important lessons in life! You know when people say it’s hard to find that one in a million friend well I certainly did, there is no one like her and I am glad to be her best friend! And another thing I will really miss is my best guy friend Reece, he has been there for me since the beginning and I don’t want to loose that, we have DEFINATLY been through our ups and DOWNS but really he is like a brother we always fight, then the fights turn into the biggest laughs and the things we will never forget!
I think I will miss alot of stuff but those are the most important things, I hope everyone has a good summer and I will write soon

Sometimes you just feel
Everything and nothing all at once
Sometimes you find yourself smiling
While missing something at the same time
At times you can absolutely love a person
All the while wanting to hate them
Life comes without guarantees
Except that smiling will brighten up your face
Laughing will enhance your eyes
And falling in love will change your life
So know you that Lies can’t cover up the truth so what to think of this now?

One of the most important events in this book was when Wally Floodywent to bed and passed away in his sleep, I think this was really important because he was a hero and he escaped the tunnel and stuff and then he ended up dying in the end. After this his wife Betty was alone with their 2 sons and they kept on going with the movies and things like that!
I thought this book was really good because it was adventurous and I would recommend it to anyone who likes adventure and a little suspense, I think that the discussion helped me understand the book because it helped me see what others think of the book and what parts they liked or dis-liked, and it helped us figure out the things we didn’t know…like if there was a word we didn’t understand someone else already had it looked up and ready to explain to the rest of the group!
So overall I think people who like adventure would like this book!

I have finished my book ” The Tunnel King” a little early, so here I am to tell you about what all happened!
Wally was captured and put into the thingy mabobber, and then him and his friends and the tunnel were staring to make plans to escape, they got caught many times and finally decided to start digging a tunnel! They dig the complete tunnel and then 3 people end up escaping! After the escape A Holly Wood man comes to tell Wally that he wants to make a movie about the escape and call it ” The Great Escape”. So they end up making the movie and it was a big hit. Then in the 1980′s Wally Floody passed away in his sleep, leaving his wife Betty and his 2 sons, Brian and Richard alone.
I think the point of view is coming from Wally, because he is basically talking about what life was like when he was captured, and how hard it was to survive because of how he was tourtured and how he had very little food and things like that! I think that if this story were told in anyone elses point of view ” Betty” it would ruin the story because she was at home and in the hospital, while he was being held captive so she wouldn’t really know what was going on so why should she tell the story!?!
I think that Wally Floody was very brave to take charge and try to get his way out, I feel as if I have bravery in common with Wally because if I were in his situation I would try to do the same thing!

The holiday name was changed to Empire Day in the 1890s when enthusiasm for the British Empire was at a peak. By the mid-20th century, however, the Empire had given way to the Commonwealth, so the holiday became known as Commonwealth Day. In 1977 Commonwealth Day was moved to the second Monday in March and Canadians continued to celebrate Victoria Day in May.

My E-Learning Post
I’m a Metis farmer living in the Red River Settlement, I am a descendant of people from Quebec.
I have very little contact with people from Ontario.
Lot’s of people in our land were Merchants or Land Spectators!
My Visit to the museum was good I have learned alot about history and all sorts of other things!
My life as a Metis is good, except all the hard workiing I have to do as a farmer!
I hope you have enjoyed reading about my Metis life.

Our round character is Wally Floody, he is the main character and it is so far all about him.
Our flat characters would be Wally’s friend Ches, because we don’t here much about him! And then Betty Baxter, which
is soon to be Wally’s wife. But not much about her has been said.
After 3 days we have seen Wally pass his Pilot course and then he was cornered by German Army people who had
guns.
I thought when Wally got captured it was an important part of the story, becasue it gives a little bit of excitment to the
reader. I think the author chose this part of the story because Wally just passed his course and he is getting ready to
battle then all of a sudden he is captured and taken away. If I were Wally being captured I think I would be really
scared, because I wouldn’t know what was going on.
Next I think Ches is going to get captured and they will be tourtered and then they will make an escape plan but then it
will backfire and they will get caught but then they will make a better plan and try it out.

I just found out about Wordle today! The first wordle I made today was the whole page of my blog shoved into one Wordle! The thing that stood out most to me was my best friend’s name appeared (Destiny)! Another couple words that jumped out at me were: Amazing, Heart, Tears and, God! Well Today at 12:00 exactly I started the 30 hour famine. At our Youth Group we have been raising money to go towards kids in poor country’s who don’t have enough money to buy food to eat along with other things. At 12:00 me along with: Kayli, Marsadie, Destiny, and Reece stopped eating…we can eat again in 30 hours so late tomorrow afternoon. Tonight we must hand in our money to the leaders and then we are sleeping over at the church tonight. I hope everyone raised a good amount of money and that we don’t end up eating…..GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!
